Yes - but be aware that it might be a bit harder to get a replacement fuse when you need one.

Most convenient stores have the flat ones...but not the old tube ones.  And just about every new car made uses the flat blade ones.....and most fuse panels in new cars have a few extra ones clipped to them....so you could borrow a spare fuse from just about anyone.

You can get those wire-in fuse holders with the flat blade fuses.

u make a good point dave. i've seen the wire in blade types. I guess I was attempting to go for something less bulky.
