Ok, it will be fun if you have a few extra dollars.... say maybe 55k or so?

I don't know... for better or worse...
Technology is sucking the life out of killing...
Your next war hero may be an 18 year old gamer with pimples and good bandwidth...
Drones already do this, only better... and you don't have to feed them, or threat their PTSD....
Automation of war... isn't the operator, redundant?...

This is brilliant technology,... 3 wars too late.... :-?...

...or,... if you need this to kill a woodchuck...
You're welcome to it... ;D...

I would say it isn't state of the art by a long shot, merely another much cheaper option for the military to consider.    This gun operates by waiting until the "perfect alignment" takes place in the breathing / jitter pattern of the human holding the gun.   It attempts to overcome the "human element" of the handheld weapon.

What is scary is that anybody can buy this system and knock off politicians from very long distances at will.   Everybody can become a rotten politician remover now-a-days.   And so can any raghead with enough money to buy one of these things.

Cheaper option?   YES, a dumb bullet and a very smart rifle.    Currently snipers train for YEARS to get "that good" and they must practice continually to keep their fine edge.   This system cuts way back on the training time and practice time and is cheaper by far than paying to field a full time sniper TEAM.

(yep, it currently takes two of them)

So, what is the current main or "real" option for really really long range shooting when you ABSOLUTELY MUST hit the very first time every time?

A non-rifled system that uses a .50 cal bullet with an articulated nose and built in motors and sensors that will steer the bullet towards a laser spotter dot projected on the target either by the gun itself or by a much closer spotter laser.    Gun can even be fired out of line of sight of the target even, as the bullet can accomplish a mild turn over a goodly distance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW2DwQun95s     Yep, a 50 caliber smooth bore rifle.

This is a downsize of the Abrams Tank system, which has been in use for over a couple of decades now.   Which is a downsize of the artillery rounds and smart gravity bombs which have been in use for 40 years now.

Smart weapons ARE smart now, but expensive.   Watch the YouTubes of an Abrams Tank nailing a far target while rolling sideways at 60 mph, you can see the tracer round arcing sideways to nail the target.   The barrel on the Abrams is a smooth bore, the round isn't rotating, it is guided instead.

We have automated sniper systems now that you could place in a hide (or build into a structure if you were long range planning for something eventually) that could pop a target with one silenced shot of an exploding round.   Since it can be hidden so very well, you go pick it back up a year or so later for re-deployment after the fuss has settled.   Good luck tracing the trajectory, since the bullet path curved while getting there.

And that is just the single shot systems .... so, how do you defend a politician against this sort of puppy?    Your bullet proof shields don't work well against a series of 20 exploding slugs arriving one after another because they just bore on through the shield by serial hits ......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scG7UNU_DSU       Study the last few graphical thingies well, those are individually guided projectiles fired in a high arc.   Give them a single target goal and it becomes a bore-through-the-bullet-proof-glass tool.

And if you are just shooting a already owned shotgun or a pistol and want something really significantly new, look at this one.
