A quickie guys,
What is this wire do? It looks like it ends in the connector.
(2003 wiring diagram. Clymers )

I dunno. Sorry I can't help with that one.

I've noticed a few problems with the '87 wiring diagram in their manual too. Never got around to tracing it out yet. The 87 diagram only shows 2 wires to that switch. Nothing splits off.

The switch goes to the ground instead of the hot lead.

It should go to the matching color wire right below where they connected it in the drawing.

I couldn't find that schematic in the ssm must be from the clymers
