NOT FROM ME!

REPEAT!!!

NOT FROM ME!

probably it's a standard spoofed address... I get a lot of mail from family that's obviously not from them.
when you look into the header the sent from is different or blank.

I will never send you a link unless it's from SS.com(info for the verslavy) or you've requested something else.

'Spoofing' a e-mail or web site.
VERY Common this time of year.

When I owned, <essft.com>  used to get 300 a day.
Now down to 30 a day.

Pay Attention, if it:
Sounds like a Duck, Walks like a Duck, Looks like a Duck.
It most probably IS,  a  DUCK    ;D ;D ;D

Well that helps to clear something up.  I got a similar email from a business client that was offering me a weight loss pill.  The person knows I am pretty lean for my age, and wasn't sure why they would have sent that to me.  I almost emailed them to tell them I would prefer not being on their list for weight loss projects.....but decided to let it go.  Most likely they didn't do it at all and were just hacked.

One time I got an email from a casual friend that indicated they were in jail in Scotland and needed money in a hurry - I didn't fall for that one and a telephone call to them confirmed that someone had stolen their email account.

Yes, I was spammed too.
I have my mail set to display the url name rather than the common name so these are easy to spot.
Although somehow they got my address list so I changed passwords just in case.

It's called a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_job.  Spammers spoof the From: address so they don't get the bounces from the invalid email address to their bots.
