Title: How to ship a frame Post by 88Snakes on 11/20/14 at 12:44:38 Has anyone shipped the main frame from a Savage? Any recommendations on who to ship through? Any idea of the costs? Thanks |
Title: Re: How to ship a frame Post by Dave on 11/20/14 at 12:50:38 I have a friend that sometimes uses Greyhound Bus for large and heavy packages. Another place to check is Forward Air - you would have to take the package to them and they are located near major airports, and the frame would have to be picked up at a Forward Air location near the shipping destination. |

Title: Re: How to ship a frame Post by MnSpring on 11/20/14 at 16:46:50 Interesting. Just perusing this. Checking into cost for sending a frame only, from MN to NY, UPS was 190.00 Fed-X was 180.00 Greyhound was 60.00. The difference is, the sender and receiver, Have to go to a 'Terminal', to send and pick up. So that is up to you, if it is worth 100.00 + It won't be delivered to your door. If you want it to your door, just pay the extra 100 + Got this tip, from a local Junk Yard. It is the way they send, 'Hoods/Trunks/Fenders/etc', from cars. |
