Title: Rear frame extension
Post by ToesNose on 11/17/14 at 05:54:19

I know that a lot of people who have gone the bobber/custom route have cut off the extensions of the frame just past the shock mounts in the rear, I'm curious if anyone who has cut that section off took note if the actual tube is hollow all the way to the end and just has that 'cap' welded on to the ends. If the tube is hollow to the end I'm thinking of just cutting the 'caps' off and using those two sections to make an easily swap-able frame extension. One for a luggage rack and another for a pillion seat. Getting ready to lay her up for the winter and just starting to brain storm about tearing the rear end apart  ;)
