Title: Ryca with solenoid

Anyone do the CS-1 kit and keep the decomp solenoid AND the Ryca tank mount?

There is not enough room for the solenoid when the tank is cut and lowered.
If there was room......RYCA would not have removed the solenoid.  They tried to make their kit as easy as possible.

You would need to cut the bottom of the tank and make clearance for the solenoid if you wanted to keep it.

I no longer have a Savage to reference, but might it be possible to mount the solenoid somewhere else? Since the decomp is cable operated, it wouldn't need to be mounted in its original location.  If you are the kind that likes to see your mechanicals visible, what about a bracket on the frame downtube to mount it there. Just thinking out loud.

I was thinking putting it forward would work OR getting a longer cable and mounting the sol. back by the carb. Might be a good conversation piece. ;)
