So where's the 14 grand?   :-?

In large round numbers...
maybe 2 grand for the frame,
a grand for the springer,
a grand for the tanks and suicide shifter,
the wheels are pretty clean so 6 grand for a new bike.
that leaves 3 grand for perspiration and 1 grand for inspiration.

Wow! That's awesome. Looks like a ton of work. The style seemed familiar and following the link, yep, Max Hazan. Check out the Enfield he built a while back. Stunning.

So it appears those levers on the side....the front one is connected to the clutch, and the back one to the shifter.  I guess you pull the front one back to release the clutch, and then move the back one to shift gears.  The right foot pedal is the rear brake as usual, and the left pedal seems to have the front brake master cylinder attached to it....so you have to brake with both feet!

Seems to me....this is more an "art object" than a bike to be ridden.

On the plus side, it does solve the problem of the locking gas cap.

I just don't see that frame staying together at 75 mph on the California debris fields that we call a freeway...

I don't see it being rideable. On a girder, the axle goes through the bottom plate and the whole frontend moves up and down. They pivot up by the neck. The springer has rockers the the front legs attach to and go up to the springs. This has rockers on a girder. What is holding the bike up on the front wheel?Even the front brake is set up like a springer. The brake doesn't have to pivot on a girder.

I was gonna say things about the front end design,, but reading Demins thots based in experience and knowledge, NOw Ima Ask Him,,

So,, I dont know the diff between a girder and a springer,, But, looks to me like this schmuck kept the Savage shock,, OHH what a fine looker that is..
Seems to me the main elements are too vertical,
Ive seen some front ends that looked like the torque created in braking would tent to work as Anti Dive,, and If thats in this one, Im not seeing it,,

This is the girder I put on the FireLizard.

I have no idea how the one on this bike even functions properly. I wouldn't even attempt to ride that death trap.

front wheel pivots on the parallelogram arrangement. Pushrod behind the girder transmits suspension movement up to the rocker just below the headstem, other end of the rocker is connected to the shock unit.
I wouldn't ride it either but I love it as an art piece. Have a look at Hazan's other builds. Funky, steampunkinsh front ends are his shctick.

Well, maybe if I could stand next to it and study it I wouldn't ride it,but as I see it,I would, but I'd sure go slow and easy and see how it acts..
Fill up, ride 10 miles away from the gas can,go back.. and see how close to becoming a pedestrian I was.

Ohh, Ohh,!  Yeah!  Have a "chase car!",  someone with a cell phone,to call 911,,,

I am slightly attracted to how "simple" it looks. Not the controls obviously, but almost looks like a bicycle frame with a savage engine stuck in it. $14.5k though? I'd rather buy a couple savages and customize each one differently and get the best of both worlds.  8-)

Hahaha! I can't imagine how much gas it'll hold though. Can't be more than a gallon.

It's got more than enough gas to get a guy to the Emergency Room.
