Title: RYCA airfilter question
Post by victorbsa on 10/16/14 at 05:30:26

I have a RYCA cafe bike. It seems like everything is difficult to remove. Like remove fuel tank to change plug...but first remove seat to remove gas tank, etc.
The biggest pain is the air filter and carb. Does anyone no of an off set rubber air filter set up. I saw on on a pic on the web, but can't find.It made the filter down and lower as the standard air filter is very tight fit. I thought someone had also suggested a foam air sock type ,like on dirt bikes.HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Did you check out the Ryca scrambler/tracker setup. They use a silicone elbow, 90 deg. I have no idea how well these work (anyone using it?) but maybe you could find something made of that material that would give you the angle you want.

If you can afford to lose that stock sized battery and get a Li-Ion battery that is much smaller - you might be able to reorganize things and make room for a larger filter.  I can't help but feel that the flat filter RYCA uses has a negative impact on air flow.
