Is there any way to attach the ryca motors bobber seat to the Savage without using rear seat springs? I love the way the seat is low profile and I don't really see the need for seat springs if there are already rear shocks and the stock seat doesn't need any?
I like the BCB seat kit; however, I don't need the rear fender because I plan on upgrading the tire Size which I understand won't work with the fender provided with the kit.
So far I'm going mainly Ryca with my mods. I have the clip on bars, exhaust adapter, reverse cone muffler, jet kit and the upgraded air filter and breather filter. I just love that classic low bobber seat height. I'd stick with the stock seat however the previous owner ripped it to shreds. so im not sure how much life it has left. oh and im also pulling the stock fender and going fenderless until i can fabricate something.

I love this BCB seat even though it has springs. Any advice?

Yup. Just fit the seat with the hinge thing at the front and let the back of the seat rest on the two "horn" looking things the back fender bolts up to. I cable tied a piece of heater hose to each horn to soften the blows a little. Isn't too bad.

Before you Poo Poo the springs on the seat....remember that the stock seat had 3" of foam that you won't have on the Solo seat. Also the stock shocks only have 1.5" of travel.....so a little extra spring is not a bad idea.

I ride mine all the time and it's rigid.Actually pretty comfy.It bent to my butt after awhile.Get a hinge kit and bolt it right to where the stock tab for the front of the seat went.And just let the back sit on the frame rails,like gizzo said.
