Yeah!  I recently added a dyna and am very happy with it. Nice rumble and grumble but not obnoxious.

Worst case scenario, if you want the backfire back just take the bike to the dealership for a tune up and I am sure it'll come back with one.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Lost my muffler on the highway a few weeks back, that was a loud ride back home :) Although I put in a Emgo shorty on it and it's almost as loud, nice rumble though.

I did the same, but it was when I first mocked up my dyna and didn't have my bracket built yet (my dyna wasn't the direct bolt-on side rail version). I just had the pressure clamp on at the front and when she started fine I decided to give it a test run. Successfully made it down the driveway in 2nd gear (it's 1/4 mile long....I'm in the country), but when I turned onto the highway and 'gunned' it, the muffler shot off the back like a rocket and went bouncing and rolling down the road.

Luckily, (a) it didn't roll under my rear tire causing an accident and (b) I bought 2 mufflers ($20 each...just because he had 2 and I knew somehow I'd screw one up) so I still had a good one to use that was still all nice and pretty.

Oh...and regarding the loud comment, YES, it was loud!  :o :o

I wish I could have seen that face when it went from " through the muffler" to Raw Header
