Title: Stock Muffler Clamp Post by humblegeo on 09/13/14 at 12:09:43 Can I get a muffler clamp that will work with stock muffler from Lowes, Ace or Home Depot? Is 2" OD what I need? |
Title: Re: Stock Muffler Clamp Post by Yoshi on 09/13/14 at 12:25:34 your better off going to autozone for a clamp like this in the size you need http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Walker-Exhaust-Clamp/_/N-9l4y5?itemIdentifier=276992_697677_18499_ |
Title: Re: Stock Muffler Clamp Post by humblegeo on 09/13/14 at 12:32:28 Maybe a 2" OD T-Bolt stainless steel clamp? |
Title: Re: Stock Muffler Clamp Post by Yoshi on 09/13/14 at 14:54:42 that would defiantly work but I don't know where you'd find a t-bolt clamp locally |

T-bolts aren't available everywhere, but they're not rare, either. I can get them at the local commercial bearing supply. They are the only type of clamp I'd consider on a bike. |
Title: Re: Stock Muffler Clamp Post by humblegeo on 09/16/14 at 07:34:34 2" t bolt clamp may be too big. 2" t bolt clamp description means when it's fully tightened up it clamps down to 2". ( 2.4" to 2"). They make one that is 1.8" to 2.05" might fit better? |
