Title: Turn Signal relocation solution Post by prechermike on 08/29/14 at 07:21:57 This isn't a question, I don't think it qualifies as a technical advancement, but it more than just hanging out in the cafe. Mods, put is wherever. I did the turn signal relocation on my bike a couple of weeks ago, started with the sax man concept in mind, but my '06 signals mounted different than my '87 ones did, no big deal, I figured it out. But that left an ugly hole in the side rails. I wanted to fill it or cover it somehow, but with what? I didn't want a reflector there, wanted something smooth, not sticking out, had to suit my taste. Yes, my children say I am picky. So, I got to thinking and looking around and I found out that a 28 gauge shot shell would fit perfectly! I cut the plastic shell off to fit in and put a screw up from the bottom into the plastic to hold it in, just the brass head is showing. I think it looks pretty cool! http://https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/10547668_933658526649892_5208999310851523346_n.jpg?oh=c1a8e5ec06cbb274750092051130f68b&oe=54722AB1&__gda__=1416438840_784c09959a107c1a6ad78d92ee95bea2 |
