Lent the '87 out.He said he was bringing it back because he got tired of jumping it everytime he wanted to ride.I rode it on a daily basis..no problem.He dropped it off and left.I cranked it and now some bad grinding going on.Pulled the starter so far.It seems ok.Going to pull side cover next....... >:(

And that's why I rarely lent out the FireLizard. I lent it to my brother once and when he returned it he parked it on some wet dirt. When I went out for a ride it was laying on it's side.

Well.......Got fairly lucky.Just broke a tooth off of the starter.And the piece was stuck to the flywheel. Can you say whew...........Just put that engine in about 500 miles ago.

it's always at risk w/out the torque limiter gear.

Got a new starter,just under $100.00 bucks shipped.With a 1 year warranty.Back up and running.

And had to get a new battery....Somehow it got fried.Hmmmmm. :-/
