Says DMV told him it was non op'd. If it was his wouldnt he have the pink and know this. Pretty fishy.

So obviously it's not "clean"
still in the original owners name
he probably go it in an estate sale outta storage.
fixed it up and now it's ready.

but an 86 with 12k isn't worth $1500,
it's missing signal lights which doesn't fly well with me anyway.

Well cars, bikes and anything cool grows on trees in California! :) In Illinois we have to figure out how to make batteries out of old copper wire and lemons, build car parts from soup cans (rusty ones) and walk to work uphill both ways through three feet of snow! :) (Okay, it's only 30" of snow but the drifting is hell!)
Seriously, everything is higher out here. Less riding time, less buyers, less resale.
