I have a 95 Savage and just started riding. I noticed the speedometer is basically invisible at night.

Is it supposed to be illuminated?

Has any one modded this with a mini LED or something like that successfully?

Crap. Well i am sure i hooked the electronics for the speedometer properly because everything else is fine. Must be the bulb then. Hmm...darn i left my repair manual at work. Gonna troll around here and see if i can find something in the tech section to help out.

Sure, no problem. Their are a couple of bulbs.

They make some LED lights that fit the same socket. Those might be a little bit brighter if you need more light than the stock bulbs provide.

I kinda like the old incandecent look of the stock bulbs, but then again I have a vintage style bike. perhaps with me new cafe project I will upgrade to the LED for a more modern sleek look. my 2cents
