I finally replaced my melted wiring harness. I had to solder some wire and connectors to the brake light and plate light. Everything works great except for the front brake light. I don't know if I missed plugging something in or there is another problem. The bike did fall over on its right side while in the truck on the way home after it died.

The good news is I found the correct bulb for the taillight so it shouldn't happen again.

If you place a jumper wire between the terminals at the brake light switch - does the brake light operate?

Seaweed, I meant when I squeeze the front brakes the light on the back doesn't get brighter.

Dave, thank you. It did light up. But when I put the wires back on the switch, it works. Corrosion I guess.
