Title: S40 Sallebag Support Bolts
Post by d3lux1 on 07/30/14 at 16:23:56

Hi guys, I got a S40 about 2 weeks ago and found some of the OEM saddlebag support brackets on eBay for about 30 bucks, but the guy didn't include the hardware.
Does anybody know what size bolts I need to purchase to install these brackets?

Thanks.

Depends on if you have the side rails with the sissy bar.  Those are a bit thinner than the standard.  If you have standard side rails I think they are m8 X 40mm.

Thanks, I'll hit the hardware store tomorrow.

Those are the 2 bolts that are closest to the seat.  There is also a bolt about 1/2 way back towards the turn signal that is bigger.  I'm not sure what that is; maybe 10m X 20mm, but that is a guess.  Sorry I didn't think of that one in my first post.
