Title: Air Filters Question
Post by ralfyguy on 07/30/14 at 09:13:31

I need a new stock air filter. So I looked around on eBay. The stock Suzuki one is madly expensive. My question is are the EMGO and HIFLO brand ones any good? Does anybody have any experience with these compared to the stock one?

Sure,.. Suzuki brand is subcontracted to one of those two... probably lowest bidder...
I use a K/N slip in... not for performance,.. just 'cause it's washable...
costs double, but you'll never need to buy another... (I didn't buy it, I got it off another bike)...
...or... gut the old one and glue in some filter foam with RTV...
I have one I made like that too...

Get stingy on the this puppy... ;D...

Rip apart a filter and replace the paper with Nu-Foam.

If you want the KN filter then I'd suggest keeping the old paper one, blow it out and have it ready for that day when you've washed the KN but you want to ride.

Amazon might be a buck or two cheaper than ebay
