Title: Stall on shift to 1st
Post by MPFit on 07/30/14 at 07:03:53

Hi guys! Just curious if anyone else has had this? I start the bike, let it warm up a little bit. Then go to shift into first gear: Bike stalls. It does this on flat surfaces and incline surfaces more often. If its decline, or I get the bike rolling slightly during the shift it doesn't seem to stall nearly as often. Clutch fully engaged by the way- I never get the chance to start coming off, I literally push down to go to 1st and the bike dies.

It's probably your sidestand cut-out switch...  You can bypass it by jumping the 2 wire connector... (for testing purposes, or permanently if if wish)...

Either that,... or it could be that your idle speed is way too low... (even with the clutch,.. engaging the gears in cold oil does create a little drag)...
