I am removing the triple tree and having no luck getting the top nut from the right side fork tube to come out of the tree bracket, its loose and will rotate and move up and down by a 1/2 cm but wont come out of its setting. Does it not come out like the top fork nut on the left. I mean, I even tried tapping it out from underneath with a hammer and a punch and it wont budge.

Try loosening the pinch bolt on the bottom tree.
Maybe it will slide down.

no, the fork tube is completly removed. The nut itself is stuck in the upper triple and will wiggle but not come out.

There is no reason that should happen. The fork tube slides up inside a hole that fits the tube.....and there is a small lip at the top of the yoke that allows the top nut to compress the yoke lip between the nut and tube...which locks the tube into the top yoke.

The small lip must have a burr or been compresses and squeezed somehow. You are just gonna have to drive it out with a big punch and a hammer....if you want it out.

You probably know all this if you got this far but just in case:
The top nut is actually a fork cap that screws into threads on the inside of the fork. You have to unscrew it so that the fork can be pulled loose from the trees as it buts up against the top tree - that's why the savage doesn't have an upper pinch bolt. From what you say, there should now be nothing holding that fork cap in place except rust?! gritty stuckiness?!
I'd say hammer away - it's not threaded on anything at the moment so what's to damage? photo?

You could get more torque on it by putting the tube back in the tree and tightening it in place...

Also,... work the nut back and forth, rather than just forcing it to unscrew... (sometimes that helps)...

The fork spring should have pushed it out...

Which tells me the cap has a ruined o-ring that is bound up between the cap and the plate. Fish a mechanics pick in there and yank the o-ring out.

all this makes sense and is good advice, will work on it a bit over lunch and report back. ill try to snap a pic too.

got it! darn thing was stuck in there by the o-ring.

Here is what it looked like after days of PB blaster and me pulling and tapping and struggling.

And here is what it looked like after three minutes of me hitting it with a BFH. I had to use a 5" socket extension and a 3" extension and a deep well socket as a punch so I could hammer straight up through the lower tree.

Now to remove the tree from the frame alltogether.

yeah, this is the Swamp Angel! she was in a swamp for 4 years iirc.

I had to put my projects all on hold while I bought my first house and moved from a long time home at which I had grown very deep roots. You may also notice that my shop is gone and replaced with a 10X10 pop up tent. The new house does not have a garage so it looks like I will be building yet another motorcycle in my house. At least its good encouragement to finish projects. I guess I should find that swamp angel thread and update it huh?
