I just got my carb off to change the jets out. It appears the previous owner attempted to take the pilot jet out previously. The groove has been stripped. I tried one time to get it but don't want to make it worse before checking here. Any suggestions?

I would say you could use a screw extractor; very carefully!
The jets are brass so it should bite pretty good.

Just did the same exact thing. Get a really small screw extractor and just tap it down into the hole and back it out. Easy cause of the brass.

Edit: I just checked and I used the screw extractor I used was a #1 extractor.
