Title: 'New' 2015 Yamaha SR400
Post by Ragnar444 on 07/14/14 at 17:19:42

What a brilliant bit of engineering.
A fuel-injected single cylinder 400cc engine with
electronic ignition and over 30 years of development.
But why are the advertising it as brand new even though
it's been in production since 1979?

Because you can go down to the shops and buy one brand new. It's only the old ones that are second hand. It's a brand new bike that's been in production for 30 years.
Saw a comparo on youtube between the new Royal Enfield GT and the SR400. It's in German but was fun to watch. The 400 is down on power, cornering clearance and style. Still a cool bike tho.

Test sat one at the local Yammerscammer stealership. He said every USA dealer is being issued one for the year.

It is TINY. Decent build quality from looking it over, but, if you have more than about a 30 inch inseam, you'll hate it...

Nice, 'new' one.

But it is 6,000.00,

and ONLY a Kick start.
