Title: Hard tail seat bracket
Post by yorbor on 07/03/14 at 21:40:39

I just welded a hardtail on my 1986 Savage and am looking for advice on a bobber solo seat bracket. For comfort Seat air shocks, coil overs or just springs. Any help would be appreciated. Also still trying to figure out the best rear wheel, least amount of modifying, that is 16" or 18".

Did you use the Voodoo Vintage tail? The air bag style is cool...Not cheap though.I like the look of the shocks(Mountain bike shocks)and they are adjustable to your weight.I used to run my strutted bike with just the springs(I'm a big guy)but once I hit a pothole and the bike actually came up and the springs bottomed out.It was worse than just riding rigid...So now I just ride rigid. My next build will have the mountain bike shock(s).I personally like the 15" wheel we have, but run a 150/90 on it.That will give you a little ground clearance.
