Title: almost no more backfire
Post by sal on 06/27/14 at 19:32:54

I read the thread on how to get to the air fuel screw and after about a fifteen minute fight I finally got that brass plug off the bike. Half a twist counter clockwise and the backfire has almost dissapeard. Also cleaned the jets which got rid of a slight flat spot while in the throttle. Bike is running a lot better already. This tiny little sucker had a lot of fight in ithttp://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff510/shlomi9898/IMAG0311_zpsff3f54d0.jpg (http://s1239.photobucket.com/user/shlomi9898/media/IMAG0311_zpsff3f54d0.jpg.html)

What muffler?  Altitude?  Stock jets?

Just curious.

Use a small drill bit, just big enough to get a screw to start into the plug a couple of threads deep. DON'T go too deep! you'll mess up the pilot screw head. I used a 3 inch drywall screw and then a pair of vise grips on the head and yanked hard a couple times.

this is a short clip of my final adjustment I did today. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I ended up turning mine a little more than a half of a turn left
