Figure a way to jack the rear wheel off the ground,... and you can give it a listen whilst you turn the wheel by hand... ..Pull the bike up onto the front wheel and sidestand from the left side, and you can raise the rear off the ground enough to slide something under the engine and prop it up... I've replaced wheels that way... ...DISCLAIMER Warning... you drop it, it ain't my fault... attempt at your own risk... This is not a stable way to raise your bike... Other options... buy a motorcycle lift, or take it to a certified mechanic... Just covering my a$$... understand?... :-?... |

(you also need someone strong to hold the bike... or, strap the rear wheel to a post or something... It's easier with an impact wrench)... Torque it to 100lbs +... You can't really trust the fold-over washer either... the nut can still get loose behind it... Some people never have a problem with it... Mine seems to come loose almost yearly... |
