Post by Ap5112 on 06/13/14 at 17:08:32

I have a new tail light/brake light has two wires and as I can see my bike has three wires how do I wire it up?

Fuses are right-side under seat... there's two...

black/white wire is ground... run it to metal on your tail-light...
the other two are brake and tail... (you'll have to figure out which one makes your brake light brighter than your tail light)
(Hint... there's only two options)... ;D...

Yup.What he said.^^^^^^^^^^^^^Or if the light housing is metal. It should self ground.Just tape the ground wire up and stash it out of the way.

Probably a ground.A/C green is ground.

You don't need it, unless your ground wire won't reach...

First thing...Check your bulb.
Then make sure you have power through the wire.Make sure you got a power wire.
The front lever issue.Make sure your plugged in at the master cylinder.Did it work before the custom light?

Good deal. It's all just process of elimination.Starting with the easiest. These bike have so many plugs and safety fetures. If ones not right it's a search.
