Title: Lower shock bolt

My lower shock bolt is stripped please tell me there's another bolt I can get somewhere and not have to order?

The bolt is stepped and has a larger diameter for the shock bushing and a smaller threaded portion.  It prevents you from overtightenign the nut and putting the shock in a bind.

You will most likely have to order one....or get a used one from somebody.

You could probably use a large bolt and a large nut from a hardware store temporarily - but you are not going to like the way it looks.  Use a nut with a nylon locking insert.

Thank you for the reply and yea I was mounting my side license plate bracket to it and was tighting everything and then the bolt just kept turning took it off and the threads are now no longer there except for a few smh

What size bolt would I need if I got from a hardware store?

All the shock companies list the bushing as being 14mm.....so I am guessing......14mm.  I am at work, and my bike is 12 miles away from me at the moment.
