Title: Saddlebag , Pannier + Supports...
Post by 23Skidoo on 06/11/14 at 12:30:11

I've found myself needing some panniers at short notice (to stow my bowler hat, tea pot and butler obviously) and it's dawned on me I have no idea how they fit.

I'm short on time so was just going to get some of those leather throw over types.. I assume they go under the pillion seat.? Is there room I wonder..? My wife will be riding pillion as well.

I assume I need some supports as well.. How do they fit? I thought I might be able to make some out of something be a bit of a skin flint..

The 1st lot I've just looked at have an 11 inch drop and that's also just dawned on me that it might be a bit much and rest on the exhaust.. I'll have to measure up in the morning..

Not really a cafe topic perhaps but could do with some tips please as I need them purchased and on by monday... many thanks..

Look through the index for the Rubber Side Down and Cafe....or do a search.  There is lots of discussion about bags, mounts and racks.

Remember, the rectumfrier relies on air to stay cool.
