So, I noticed that my back tire was looking a bit worn whenever I walked out to it. Figured it would probably last me through this season unless I did any long trips (I've had the bike for 5yrs and only put on around 5k miles-mostly in town)

Moved the bike a little to clean out the garage and noticed this :o

My only response is, it had to have been from the time I had to lock the rear up to avoid a collision last summer. (Worn through-looking at the fibers/belts of the tire)

Word of wisdom---check your tires all the way around, not just glancing at them.
