Title: Saddle Bag Install
Post by Dodgeman on 06/08/14 at 10:00:24

My wife picked up used saddle bags, for me to put on her S-40. I don't know what you call the two flaps that straddles the fender, but can they be on top of the rectifier/charger, or would that cause heating up of the rectifier?  How did some of you guys do it?  Thanks in advance!!

I've had my saddlebags on top of the rectifier and it never caused a problem but I think some people actually cut a square hole around the rectifier too.

I used to put them over the rectifier unless I have to remove them regulary.
Never had a problem with both way.
