Title: Hopefully getting the '87 back Post by Demin on 06/08/14 at 06:34:58 I built an '87 for a customer to his liking.Then he decides he doesn't want to ride after all.When I sold my '86 bobber,I picked up an Intruder.I hate the bike.Sooooo I might swap out the Intruder for the Savage. Either way, if you miss having a Savage, seems like a good thing. For the record, I really dug the '86 you had.That was the reddish one with the dished tank and upswept pipe, right? |

Title: Re: Hopefully getting the '87 back Post by Demin on 06/13/14 at 05:59:12 Happy dance..........I'm back to being a Savage owner. :D I think I'm spoiled though.This bike doesn't seem to have near the power the orange one had going down the highway.Maybe because of the 5 speed?Engine is an '02.Jetted the same as the '86.It actually has all the '87 parts on it.Carb,charging system,etc. Time to start modifying it to me. 8-) |
