so after traveling a few warm seasons on my little Savage, I realized that I still need to buy another bigger motorcycle. because I like the ergonomics of the Savage, I decided to start from a similar landing of the driver. in the end, there has been a few options... Suzuki intruder 1400( VS 800 consider is closely me in it) . Kawasaki Vulcan 1500d-confused only possible age.... I understand that the age is not important..
or may be other variant ask for review? what can you recommend guys? interested in any opinions..

I own a VS750 Intruder and a HD Street Glide along with my S40. The Intruder 800/S50 rides a lot like the Savage/S40. The S50 will cruise at 80-85 MPH (130KM/H) just fine. It's night and day different between the S40/S50 and the Street Glide when it comes to long trips.

Are you looking for something for better ergonomics or performance? If it is more than 900 cc's you probably won't get good gas millage. If your looking at performance, I would make sure it will do whatever highway speed you are looking for at 4K rpms.

The only good Triumph is a chopped up old Triumph.

The Suzuki VS series cartoon cruisers are horrible. The Kawasaki VN800 and larger are decent to good to great depending on which size you buy. The Suzuki C50 and C90 have tons of potential.

I keep drooling over a C90T BOSS at the local stealership. It is a left over, never had oil in it, and they are asking $11K out the door. Have yet to test sit it but that day is fast approaching. As fun as the Savage is on country two lane roads, for how I ride, it is inadequate. I really should be on a Kawi ZRX1100/1200 or similar.

Oh boy! The "what should I buy" is as contentious as the oil wars . But at least based on opinion and taste, not science or fact. And as opinions are like arseholes (everyone's got one and they usually stink), here's mine.

If I were looking for a more grown up replacement for my Cabbage, I'd be looking at a Moto Guzzi California. They can be had pretty cheaply for an older model, look cool and seem pretty bomb proof. If I couldn't find one I'd look at a Triumph America or Rocket III. Only bad Triumph was those rotten TT 600 things.

I wondered for a moment why WD was drooling over a CT90 http://www.lossaengineering.com/2011/08/24/1969-honda-ct90/ct90-l-side/ (no accounting for taste) but realised my error.

I just picked up an Aprilia RSV1000 Mille but I don't think that's any help to you. If I found one for sale here, I'd buy a Ducati Indiana. Who wouldn't want a 650cc sport bike engine wrapped in an awkwardly styled cruiser chassis? :D just for laughs.

Always bear in mind there IS a rather rare find out there thats a good bike.
The Kawasaki W 650. No cam chain, vertical twin. Adequate power for highway top end, comfortable seating, & built to last. Even has an accelerator pump in one carb,
