Title: Analyse this... Post by Henrik on 05/30/14 at 03:14:38 Iam getting soot at the brakelever. Whiped it of and this is how it looks after about 300 miles. Is it normal? The bike runs really good now so I rather do not want to mess with the jetting (again). But maybe it indicate a to rich condition. On the other hand the soot has a good dark/grey color i think. There is no visable smoke when ridning. Opinions? |

Title: Re: Analyse this... Post by Dave on 05/30/14 at 04:25:00 Happens to the best of us.....could be normal. Modern unleaded fuels with 10% ethanol do make the exhaust pipe black, even if jetted correctly. This is not any indication of how the bike runs. |

Title: Re: Analyse this... Post by shorty on 05/30/14 at 14:18:38 is it brake lining dust? like the front wheels on most cars get? just a thought |
Title: Re: Analyse this... Post by Kris01 on 05/30/14 at 19:19:18 Nah, just soot since the muffler outlet is right there. |
