Title: Rubber Mount Risers for S40?
Post by ihasabike on 05/16/14 at 16:35:29

I totally did a search, and I didn't just search the past week!  I promise!

So, are there any rubber mount risers available for the S40?

My mechanic said that mine were hard mount.  Here's a photo.  Where's the rubber?

The triangular plate with the "S" on it is the triple tree.... under the chrome base there are rubber buffers (washers) on top and bottom.... yer mechanic should have seen that....if he is a mechanic.

With that big a gap, they are in place, just worn out. Explains a lot...

Savage riser bushings: http://www.bikebandit.com/2003-suzuki-savage-650-ls650p/o/m147671#sch499034 part number 4 and part number 6.

S40 riser bushings:http://www.bikebandit.com/2012-suzuki-boulevard-s40-ls650/o/m154869#sch771934 part number 4 and part number 6.

Exactly the same item, whether the bike is an S40 or an LS650. They wear out. $20 or so to replace them with genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer Suzuki factory parts. Cheaper and faster than the dealership, and takes 15 minutes to swap them out in the driveway.
