I'm sure this topic has been covered but I'm hoping some one can answer me. Is a 17" spoke rear wheel off a 1982 GS450TX a direct bolt on replacement for the 15" rear on a 1986 Savage? Thanks

You'll need a tire diameter less than 26"
being a 17" rim, you might have to select a low profile tire.

We know the gs550 fits with some having issues.

if the brakes are the same, then you can use the stock brake hub.
