Yup, that is Hewlett Packard shipping a 14" screen Tegra 4 Android notebook that is running Android 4.4 as the installed operating system.

Obviously, a lot of people are going to Crouton this thing and have Ubuntu on it as well, since it is free to do and opens up a lot of full bore Linux softwares.

Since HP can do it big screen, lots of other people will feel obligated to fill out their notebook lines with something similar in 14"-15" size.

HP has an entire line of ARM based Slatebooks out now, Amazon fills up a whole page with them as a matter of fact.

HP has been publicly saying that Chrome and Android has been doing "very well" for them, so for them to punch out a 14" REALLY NICE Android notebook says that they are willing to go the rest of the way to FOSS land.

The Tegra 4 is easily twice the chip compared to what HP has been using in Chromebooks and boxes previously. So look to see some processor upgrades coming to those HP Chromebooks and boxes as well.

Also note, HP ships lots of stuff to China and all of the Orient too, places where Android is King. Android laptops makes good sense in China as Android is THE general consumer's operating system of choice in China.

Microsoft and Intel are wearing sad little puppy dog faces over this HP abandonment/development.

"Why didn't you use our nearly free Intel chips and our nearly free Windows 8.1 ????" Why did you bring this thing here, into the USA and upset our nice little monopoly?
