Title: Bobber Build (80% Done)
Post by Loud3r on 04/26/14 at 15:55:42

Well guys, I've gotten pretty far on the bobber, she's about 80% done. The old thread never got much attention, so i figured I'd make a new one since the build should go pretty quick now. Pay attention for updates! tell me what ya guys think.

Thanks guys! First build ever, she's coming along pretty well. let me see if i can dig up the place i got the decals at, shipping will kill you though, i got em from EU i think, and im in USA. Was worth it though, because they are super thin, amazing  quality.

Oh, and of course, i had to do a couple little extra's :P

Still to be done:

Custom seat mounts, along with cutting the frame down there
Mini wooden metal banded keg for the electrical/batter to replace the old
Side mount license plate/brake mount
Custom rear turn signals
Exhaust with Old No.7 heat shield
black the forks, triple trees, bars and controls out, including fork boots
white bottlecap grips
White o-ring chain

And if/when i have the money, and if i decide to keep her:
Lancer's slide carb
Cam Stage 1
Braided brake lines
Verslavy (only 6000 miles on her)
Hand operated decomp
8 cell batt

Putting her in the local annual rat rod/bobber show with a for sale sign, If she wins an award, i'll keep her, if someone offers me more than 3500, sadly she's gonna be gone, and the next build will start. Set a pretty high number, cause i obviously don't wanna sell :P

You otta ride that thing up to the junk recycler joint & roll it across the scales,, just to see how many pounds less than stock it is. Looks good,, I can honestly say it looks like a "spirited" ride..

Got a bunch of red LED's wired up last night too, no way to get a good picture of them at night though, but she glow's a ten foot red light around her, give's it that open all night look :P

Nice job, like the overall look and JD theme as well as the "glow".
