Title: Best video upload site?
Post by old_rider on 04/15/14 at 15:06:26

Going to start to do video's of stuff with the Google Glass thingie and thought I would ask which video upload sites were most used.

Looking for most storage, fast uploads/downloads, easy to link and easy to use.

Also would like to do really long ones...if possible.

Video editing software?

I'm shooting for the free stuff, still looking around.

I've always used Youtube...  it's free and pretty easy.... (easy to embed or link to here)...

For editing, I used Windows Moviemaker... it was free, and works pretty good...
I hope Linsux has something similar.... ;D...

PS... I'm assuming "ride" videos?...
I'd try to keep them down under 5 min... no one will watch a really long one anyway... and it will take forever to upload...
;)...

Yea I use YouTube also, as Serow pointed out it's easy to use.  I like that you can easily customize your video channel and even make some things private if you want.  ;)

Yup, I downloaded it to my video's on youtube and it worked, it is almost 3 min long.

I might have to make them all private LOL, since my englash and accent might get some folks to give me bad reviews....

Not sure about the video limit on youtube, I did the thing where they promise you unlimited upload on the video if you confirm who you are, so maybe I can do longer ones.

I have a long one somewhere, a ride video I think, i'll try to load that one, its about 11 or so minutes of crappy dragons tail ride... I had the camera (emerson snapshot or somesuch) mounted to the chin of my helmet so its kinda angle skewed.

Please don't add any music to a ride video!  That's the most annoying thing about ride videos on YouTube.  There are some that are good (Serowbot), but most are just annoying.

Kris,.. thanks...
I have to add music... the wind noise overpowers all natural engine sounds at speeds over 30mph...

I would suggest, at least,.. choosing something pleasant for music...
Hard-core metal cr@p, and screaming vocals never make you look as macho as you think...
... and particularly seems inappropriate on a putting Savage...  ;D..

Yours are the only videos that I've seen on YouTube with music that are actually enjoyable.

I believe the limit is your videos can only be up to 15 minutes long until you become a member in good standing/trusted up loader.
