Spacer mod isn't necessary, only rejetting.. But you should rejet your bike even if you were runing with a stock exhaust.. I would suggest you read up on it in the tech section..

Even with the Jardin Rumblers? It fixed my backfire for me.

Proper procedure is to set the pilot, then the main and then adjust the needle.
