Title: Re: gas leakage Post by Serowbot on 04/09/14 at 10:49:28 Don't fill it so full... I just overfilled myself, about 5 minutes ago... ;D... |
Title: Re: gas leakage Post by Kris01 on 04/09/14 at 11:14:01 Pretty common problem, although, I haven't had any issues with it...yet. Just teach yourself not to fill it up so far. |

Title: Re: gas leakage Post by 1st2know on 04/09/14 at 11:47:07 Whenever I fill my tank, I grab a couple of paper towels from the dispenser. Then, leaving the gas station, I stop at the end of the driveway - it spills and dribbles back towards my right knee. I mop it up with the paper towels, and then I tell myself - "Remember to stop overfilling the tank, dummy!". This cycle has repeated hundreds of times. There's a collar in the fill opening, don't fill above that. And, remember to grab a couple of paper towels :) |
Title: Re: gas leakage Post by Steve H on 04/09/14 at 14:48:45 There's also a thread on here...see Verslagen's post above about how to fix the gasket and stop the leaking. I've found that mine will leak if I just gently put the cap in. If I give it a firm tap afterwards, it doesn't leak. |
