Title: Gee, am I just stupid? Post by raydawg on 04/05/14 at 08:04:11 Now that my 2013 is no longer under warranty I want to be in charge of maintaining it myself. It just clocked 10,000 and I will put Versy's mod in. I will learn to adjust the valves, etc. But for the life of me I can't find a parts list here.... The one link I tried takes me to another domain and that is all. I was hoping to find/get filter(s) info, gasket part numbers, like the clutch cover, etc, so I can have it all ready when I dive in, as this in my daily commuter . Am I just too dumb to navigate for that info :-[ Is there a list here or do I need a clymers? |
Title: Re: Gee, am I just stupid? Post by Michael L on 04/05/14 at 08:34:54 Shouldn't you be able to find an authorized Suzuki dealer in your area..? Im not sure the clymer manual has original part numbers. I think it only tells you how to maintain things.. If you decide to get one, beware of the flaws it has on some of the info.. I know a few sites who has everything you need, but they are located in europe.. Im thinking it would be too expensive for you if you live in the states..? |

Title: Re: Gee, am I just stupid? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/05/14 at 08:38:44 No part # needed,, just tell whatever supplier ya want to use what it is..The clutch cover Gas Kit,, No biggeee.. You can call around & see who can sell ya one,, I know a place that has a machine, slap a CD in, poke some buttons, name yer gasket, that machine will cut one out for ya. Doesnt have the factory stickum anywhere, but, hey, I spent $14.00 & a whopping 10 minutes, no freight, no wondering if its right, IDK what Zuki wants at their parts counter, but you can bet theyd have to order it, |
Title: Re: Gee, am I just stupid? Post by raydawg on 04/05/14 at 08:41:40 I did indeed download the clymers from a link here and it has no parts numbers, nor does the suzuki manual that came with the bike. I do have a dealer on the mainland, but I was hoping to buy online. When I go to those sites, it seems that our bikes is not really represented like others >:( often getting no returns when I enter, for example, clutch case gasket.... |

Title: Re: Gee, am I just stupid? Post by S-P on 04/05/14 at 11:18:01 If you send me fifty bucks, I'll answer that question for you... ;D I use Parts Fish. http://www.partsfish.com/ Small, independent bike shops will have gasket cutters. Your basic parts for the work you want to do will be a clutch cover gasket, an exhaust gasket (buy two, sometimes you'll need to stack them to get a tight seal) and an oil filter. If you haven't already, get the Raptor petcock while you're at it, it will make removing the tank a LOT easier. Shipping at 7.00 a pop kills you so be sure you order all the parts you need at once, unlike someone else I know..... ;) |
