Title: Tire Repair Kit Post by Dodgeman on 03/28/14 at 12:19:03 I've got the Repair Kit that has a reamer, and the needler to insert the strand patch, and a tube of glue. I know this is just for emergencies. What I wanted to ask here, is what do guys use, to store the kit on the bike. I've got a few ideas, but would like more input. |

That kit is for tubeless tires. If you have a Savage with the stock wheels you have tubes in your tires. If you get a flat you've got to peel the tire off the rim and patch/replace the tube. A plug isn't going to work. |
Title: Re: Tire Repair Kit Post by Dodgeman on 03/28/14 at 14:01:28 I'm sorry..my wife has the s-40, I have tubeless on my Goldwing. Also, can I get ideas, on what type of air pump to bring with us when riding. |

This looks like it should work: http://www.aerostich.com/tools/tire-repair/pumps-air-compressors/aerostich-mini-compressor.html As far as where to carry it, and the plug kit, I don't really have any suggestions. But one of the guys I shoot skeet and sporting clays with carries a shotgun and a hundred or so shells on his Goldwing, so I thinks there probably room somewhere ;) |
