Title: Tire Repair Kit
Post by Dodgeman on 03/28/14 at 12:19:03

I've got the Repair Kit that has a reamer, and the needler to insert the strand patch, and a tube of glue.  I know this is just for emergencies. What I wanted to ask here, is what do guys use, to store the kit on the bike. I've got a few ideas, but would like more input.

I wouldn't trust that on my bike.  Maybe....maybe....on my car but not on my bike.  Catastrophic failure of the plug at speed tends to hurt!

That kit is for tubeless tires.  It won't work on our tires.

That kit is for tubeless tires. If you have a Savage with the stock wheels you have tubes in your tires. If you get a flat you've got to peel the tire off the rim and patch/replace the tube. A plug isn't going to work.

I'm sorry..my wife has the s-40, I have tubeless on my Goldwing.  Also, can I get ideas, on what type of air pump to bring with us when riding.

This looks like it should work:

As far as where to carry it, and the plug kit, I don't really have any suggestions. But one of the guys I shoot skeet and sporting clays with carries a shotgun and a hundred or so shells on his Goldwing, so I thinks there probably room somewhere ;)
