What size pvc do you use to preload S40 forks ?

I did steel washers... a about a 1/2" thickness was all I could squish... (it did firm just a tad)...

...springs get real resistant after that... (I shot them around the shop a couple of times before managing it)...
:-?...

...(I'm only about 145lb... our forks are way too soft)...

Too much like work. Refill the forks with HD30 motor oil. Drain, pull out springs, let tubes collapse into the sliders. Fill the tubes to the top, extend, add springs, install, done.

Next round for mine... 85W140 gear oil. I hate brake dive.

9/16" should be doable.  I made spacers that were 1/2" and I was still able to muscle the cap back on.

Use a socket, an extension, and a ratchet that you can push on comfortably.

And Serowbot  :) TM always wants video footage when you attempt to do this!
