I just learned that my step dad, the only real dad I have ever known has lung cancer. He is going to see a specialist to see how far it has spread.

My biological dad, though he is okay, has never been there for me but Gary, my step dad came into our lives when I was about 14. He taught me to drive, helped me when my first motorcycle broke down and showed me how to take care of it. He was a true dad to us.

He took as good care of my mother as he knew how. He never raised a hand to us or her in anger. He is just a good man.

I am very sorry , very, very sorry. Ive followed your ventures & the pitfalls life has thrown at you & seen you deal with things. Frankly, I think youre a helluva guy. I dont know how this will work out, but, I think we all know the general way it goes. All I can do is feel sorry about it, like you. I can hope & pray, like you, & I do & I will. I WILL say that, IMO, the treatment sold to the public is more of a wealth transfer from the sick to the wealthy & IF it was me or my loved one, I would be looking into alternative medicine. First thing Id do is haul it to a health food store & get a bag of apricot pits & have him start eating them. Theyre not fun, I weigh 150 & my dr told me to eat 17 a day. Ive never had the Big C, but I was seriously at risk due to chemicals Id been exposed to.,The enzyme therapy that saved several in the 70s is no longer possible, due to lack of quality enzyme availability, or Id point you that way. Reset the PH balance. Start him on lemon water. Squeeze a coupla fresh lemons in a quart O water, add Stevia. Its Po Mans lemonade, tastes great &, even tho its acidic, it creates a Basic PH balance in the body. Disease lives in acidic environments. No cokes, go looking around for PH balance diets.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've lost a few friends and relatives to cancer and it can be a rough ride for everyone. My prayers are with you all.

Yonuh... I empathize with you... but don't look at it like a death sentence, trust me I KNOW.

There are several levels of cancer and each CAN be treated given the inoperable ones or bone cancer (and there are treatments for that).

Mine was stage III metastatic malignant melanoma ..... with unknown primary....

Trust the doctors....sometimes cancer can be eliminated very easily, so never, NEVER give up hope and do NOT let your step dad think you are giving up either.

Tell him to stay positive and go in with the attitude that what ever treatment they are going to give WILL work.

Yes cancer is scary, and yes it sux to have it.... but it is survivable.

I am surviving today....that's all that counts, my particular cancer is know to re-occur 50 to 70% of the time with-in 3 to 5 years... i'm not going to let it bother me, i'm alive and can keep going and THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS :)

Tell him all our good vibes are being sent his way !!
