Hi folks,

discovered, that old gaskets on clutch and alternator covers got stuck. Removed them using knife, but probably there are better ways (rotary tool, some chemicals etc). Please share your experience.

I go at it slowly & carefully. Thats aluminum, so, no rotary tools for me.
I do use a sharp, steel scraper, but I go at it with care & have the beveled edge down. I mite use a razor blade in some places, but theyre not so easy to put where I want them, since they flex so easily,An Exacto heavy blade doesnt flex much, & the Big REd handles fit the palm well,, Nothin wrong with a little acetone to get the last stuff, but, once its down to just a "see thru" layer of goo, its good enough,,unless its a head gasket, I want a head to look like it never had anything on it, I know, ya dont GOO a head, but they still get stuff stuck,

Autozone has some plastic blades for scrapers.
but for the most part prefer a sharp wood chisel.
