when I see someone with a custom made header, I always ask where do I get one, and the subject changes, and never get an answer. I'm sure I'm not the only one searching for a larger diameter pipe, but I have no luck

In some respect, no one wants to be the middle man for you.

Look for your local hot rodder. Custom headers are made all the time.

You'll need to leave your bike with him to fit it.

Getting a custom header made is....custom work and they are going to have to have your bike (or a stand in) to make one. No one makes an aftermarket one.....although I have seen that Raask made some but I have never seen where you can buy them new.

Perhaps dfinn will be able to get his contact to make some for the members of this forum someday.

I hope to get one made eventually...but that is a project for next year.

Just go to your local "custom exhaust" place. Almost every town has one. You tell them what you want, leave your bike with them, and they'll make one for you.

As has been said, nobody makes one for the Savage. You'll have to either find a shop around you to make one for you, or do it yourself.

How big you lookin for? Youll lose torque if its too fat..certainly happened to me, when I got too fat.,

I ordered the tubing from Drag specialties Fat Book. Than a machinist made the new collar for it.

I am pretty sure he will ship to USA. There are no retailers in Canada and I ordered direct from him, and it was considerably cheaper than getting it from the American retailer he was using at the time. I suspect that they had a falling out because of the high prices the retailer was charging. Send him an e-mail, as he suggests.
