Title: General On Foot Pegs
Post by IrishSavage on 12/25/13 at 06:39:04

Hello!

I just bought my first bike this fall, suzuki savage LS650 1998. I've set it away for winter and want to do some work on it, but I'm very new to everything.

The foot pegs looks old and I want to change them out with some new ones. There is custom handlebars  on the bike with some really nice grips. I've been trying to find similar pegs so it matches but I'm struggling to find it. I'm basically just wondering if pegs needs to be spicifcally for the savage model or if it's a universal thing for motorbikes.

The other thing is about the pegs for the passanger seat. They are not on and I'm having a hard time to do so because of a to long bolt and the tire is in the way. Do I have to actually remove the whole wheel or is there some kind of trick to it? I've been wondering if i can make it fit if I take the air out of the tire.

Hoping you guys have some good input and happy holidays!

Troy

Not many pegs will direct bolt up, but most can be made to fit...
Our pegs have a little toe-kick that stops them at 90'.. most don't... you may also have to drill a bigger bolt hole...

... and,.. yes, the rear wheel must be removed to install the rear pag bolts...
...(letting the air out, only makes the bottom flat).. ;D...
