Title: Australia safety videos
Post by Boofer on 12/16/13 at 19:01:50

Never been able to put you tube stuff on here, and now I have downsized to a tablet. Someone put a link on here from the Traffic Accident Commission of Australia. The retrospective vid with Everybody Hurts in the background will get you started. There are about 40+ videos including motorcycles. Someone please put a link in for the newbs whomay not have seen them. Thanks to the first poster, whoever  you are. I wish we could show them on US television. My daughter saw her first when she was 14. Getting her license in December. Thanks to anyone who can help. Boofer  :)

This one's a beauty, too.

The scenery in the coast riding one, sensational!. That's about 7hrs from my place. I go down there a couple times a year to fly paraglider and surf. It's all signposted 80kmh now, so the Savage is probs the ideal bike to ride. Those big sports bikes are wasted on it.

Now, what Does happen when a bike is in a corner & has insufficient ground clearance? Dude wasnt going fast, he is up & walking 1/2 way thru the crash.

Yea,... but that's gonna' take a lot of duct tape... :-?...

I hate that feeling... when you know you went in too hot, and there's no stopping it...
Plus,.. he was stuck in that lazyboy riding postion..
If he'd been in proper position, he could have leaned his body, or got a knee out, and that would have raised the bike a bit...
...On the good side, he didn't panic brake, or target fixate...
...but, too hot, is too hot...
Nice job on the dismount... :-?...

& that is a definite point,,I can play that game & get better exit speed. Less peg draggin & more speed thru the curve.
Pretty sad when "too hot" is 25 mph.. & thats not exactly a tight turn there.
He needs to be aware he is riding a boat & that it wont lean very far before he is jacking a tire off the ground. Ohh,, wait, Ill bet he is Fully aware of that, Now. Maybe he will read your post, he needs to.

ack .. yall make me have buyers remorse... I am one that loves to lean on the bike.. heck.. I will lean back 'n forth on the straights if I get bored. That yammy better not be some knuckle dragger. I love the feeling of leaning over and then giving it gas to pull it back up. The low end torque of the LS is perfect for doing it.

Ive had mine leaned hard enough that I was in pain,, the right peg had my foot so crunched between the engine & peg I had to pull my foot out.
The bottom of the rubber was cut thru so far back from the end I had to wire it on, Ride that sucka!  Its Hard POints hitting that lifts the wheel.
