Title: Motorcycle Performance Index
Post by pgambr on 12/12/13 at 17:50:26

I came across some interesting information.  This list the overwhelming majority of bikes built within the past 10 years and how they measure up against one another.  Weight, CC, 0-60 time, top speed, MPG, pretty informative.

Enjoy ;)

If we do suck, it can't be by much, I think I saw a Guzzi with a rating the same as ours, we comfortably beat the Ural combo. Has anyone got the eyesight and concentration to see what others have our rating. Bet they are all dearer.

One caveat,... I do believe, magazine editors don't give the
Savage to their "Stig" tester...
"Stig" wouldn't be caught dead on this bike...
More likely... they hand it off to Howie the copy-boy's new girlfriend,... and let her test it...

If you're Howie's new girl,... these numbers might be accurate...

They should have let Howie do it...(he's ready)... ;D...

Hey.....after spending lots of money on a Wiseco, and cam, and new carb, and new air filter, and some porting, and reducing some weight, and installing a better muffler.......I can at least record a 0-100 mph time.....with a long straight away and no wind!

Truth is, I am completey happy with my simple single and the way it runs.  With more horsepower on tap.....I would just get into a lot more trouble a whole lot faster!

I Did see the 100 MPH mark one day,, OHH It was just such a fine day,, on I20, good smooth section, just right temp & humidity I guess,, but it DID put the needle past that line, I dont remember ever seein that again,

& yea, more power would get me in trouble, way too fast.,
